Happy Friday everyone! This space looks a little different now 🙂 What do you think of the new website design?! I love it! It’s exactly what I envisioned it to be when I started blogging and I’m so happy the vision is finally showing. I’m still trying to figure out the newsletter sign up form on the home page, but other than that, it’s done!
Today’s post is about the top I made last year! When I first made it, I didn’t know exactly how to line clothing. The seams were showing on the inside and after one wash, the shoulder seams were coming apart. I’ve learned a lot in the sewing world this past year, and while I was really proud of the top, I wanted to be able to wear it with confidence in my design. So, I decided to remake the top the right way. I took it apart, reconstructed it, and added a few more details! In addition to lining it, I added by label on the inside, added darts to the front, and added functional buttons to the back. I’m also about halfway done with matching pants, and I can’t wait to see the completed look together! I love matching sets, and this one will be perfect for the rest of summer and next spring 🙂
The rest of my outfit is linked above! My exact jeans are from Zara and linked here. They’re super flattering and comfy! I really like how the front is simple and the back has big pockets. They also have a frayed hem that adds a little detail. My shoes are from Amazon and for the price, they’re a good deal! I don’t know if it’s the way I walk or not, but they do scratch easily on the inside of the faux suede. Other than that, they’re easy to walk in and a good basic shoe.
Thank you for reading along! Until next week 🙂
