Tailored Shorts Outfit with Button Down Shirt

Hi and welcome back! I hope you’re having a happy Friday and an even better week! I started a new position at work this past Monday aaand it’s been good. It involves a lot more walking and going up more flights of stairs, and my legs are definitely sore right now lol. But I’m enjoying it so far and glad that it’s easier to get my steps in each day!

Today’s outfit is really fun: a button down shirt, tailored shorts, white loafers, and a sweater draped over the shoulders because it can complete any outfit lol. I just started draping sweaters over my shoulders and I can’t get enough of the look. It really takes the outfit to another level – it makes it look like a casual decision but brings the outfit together in a sophisticated way. I wore this look to run some errands and I felt so put together! These shorts are also super comfy and can be styled endlessly. They have an elastic waistband and fit like bermuda shorts, which I find super flattering with my legs. I’m 5’7″ and my legs are pretty long, so shorter hems can sometimes make my legs look awkward. However, this longer bermuda style shortens them in the best possible way and they end at the perfect length.

That’s it for today! I’m so happy you stopped by and I hope you have a great weekend. I’ll see you again next Friday!

Collared Sweater with Straight Leg Jeans

Hi hi, welcome back to the blog!! I hope you’re having a happy friday and looking forward to the weekend!

Today’s outfit is one of my favorites recently! It looks so simple but it flows together really nicely: the thin black belt that matches the black purse, the gold belt buckle that matches the bracelet + watch + earrings, the white boots that balance out the white collar, and the similar blue shades between the sweater and jeans. The whole look feels casual yet structured, and I like the light blues with accents of contrasting color.

My purse is older but the pink version of it is still available, and I’ve linked it above. This purse is actually the first designer handbag I ever owned! I was working a shift at Publix one day and was wishing that I could own a Kate Spade, and then I realized that I could just buy one myself lol. So, I decided to start saving my money for the next couple of months, and I shopped around so I would have the perfect one already picked out by the time I had enough money saved. I ended up with this one and it’s still one of my favorite purses to this day! The pink version is really pretty and the colors are essentially inverted: the bow and handles are black and the base of the purse is the same pink as the bow/handles of the one I’m holding.

Aaand that’s it for today’s post! Thank you so so much for reading along this week. See you next Friday!

Gingham Romper and Cardigan Outfit

this week’s guest: my perfect baby nephew <3

Happy October!! I’ve been loooving the fall season this year! I normally want summer to last forever but something about the chillier weather this year is making me so happy. I’m ready for all the hot chocolate, blankets, bonfires and all things cozy!

Today’s outfit is a brown gingham romper, long cardigan, and white ankle booties. If you’ve been around for a while, you know that I was practically glued inside my white boots for the past few fall and winter seasons lol. I wore them TO DEATH and wore them every day. They ended up breaking last year and I finally ordered another pair last week! These aren’t the exact same but I think white ankle boots are such a staple during the colder seasons. It’s the one item I get the most compliments on and they really elevate any look. These new ones are from Amazon and the same 2″ heel height – the perfect height to wear them all day long without your feet hurting.

My romper is from Topshop and its so comfy! I ordered a medium but wish I had gotten the small because it runs oversized. I usually size up to mediums so that the fabric can shrink in the dryer and still fit loose, but this romper has a lot of fabric. The pattern on the romper is a pretty brown gingham and it’s perfect for the season! I usually don’t wear a lot of patterns, so I paired it with a neutral cardigan to mute it just a little bit. This outfit would be so cute for an outdoor fall activity – going to pick out pumpkins, farmer’s market, fall shopping, corn maze, etc.

Annnd that wraps it up for this week. Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you all have a great weekend and I’ll see you again next Friday!
